Emily & Thomas

It all started during the summer after our sophomore year in 2022. Separate groups of friends invited us to the same costume party. After a little Instagram stalking beforehand, we finally met in person and immediately hit it off.

A month later, we started dating, and the rest is history.

Four years, countless memories, and one house later, we’re still each other’s favorite person. We’ve built a life together, made a home of our own, and even added Bentley, the stray dog we took in along the way.

Thomas had a whole engagement plan in mind.

Emily had other plans, specifically a 5 a.m. Sunday long run.

While training for the Philly Marathon, Emily woke up before sunrise, got dressed for her run, grabbed her rice cakes, and quietly started getting ready to leave.

Thomas realized his proposal plans were falling apart and stopped her at the door. He told her she had two hours to get ready. Emily had no idea what was happening.

Thomas took her to Longwood Gardens, where both of their families were waiting. They spent the day taking pictures, walking through the gardens, and having lunch together.

The surprises were not finished. When they arrived home, their friends had transformed the house into an engagement celebration filled with flowers, decorations, food, and everyone they loved.

They celebrated and partied together all night. It wasn’t the proposal Thomas originally planned, but it turned into the perfect day and a night they’ll never forget.

From a costume party to a house of their own, a stray dog, and an unexpected engagement, Emily and Thomas have loved every part of their story so far.

They can’t wait to celebrate the next part with everyone they love.
